Two children go into the woods. One returns a monster…and the other never returns.

The Kingdom of Aeverdam lies under the shroud of a Curse—out in the woodlands, miles beyond its protective walls, an unbreakable barrier stands between the Kingdom and the rest of the realm. A prophecy claims that two children, sent into the woods on the night of the Winter Solstice, will slay the creature that guards the barrier, shattering the Curse and setting Aeverdam free. But for seven-hundred years, the Curse remains unbroken.

You play as Willa Corbel: the only daughter after seven sons, all of them lost to the annual Solstice Hunt. With magic running in your veins, you’re considered vital to the Kingdom, sparing you from your brothers’ same sacrificial fate. But when the Oracle divines your name for this year’s Hunt, you’ll spurn the protection promised by your magic, using the last night of your life to uncover the truth of what happened to your brothers—and at long last free the Kingdom.
